La tecnología EAS
La tecnología EAS un sistema antihurto utilizado para identificar si alguien intenta llevarse algún artículo de una tienda sin pagar. Es una tecnología que incorporada a los productos, reproduce un sonido excesivo cuando se pasa por la zona de caja en el caso de que no se desactive primero.
Normalmente lleva incorporados unos imanes y en la actualidad existen varios tipos de sistemas EAS que funcionan prácticamente de la misma manera.
La etiqueta se pega en un determinado producto y al pasar por caja se quita o se desactiva para evitar que salte la alarma. Lo único que los diferencia es que cada sistema opera según diferentes principios y ventajas específicas.
Si se trata de una etiqueta rígida reutilizable se quita con un desprendedor específico para ese objeto, si por el contrario es una etiqueta adhesiva desactivable se desactivará tras su paso por un escáner.
Entre los tipos se encuentran desde un sistema que consiste en una pinza o una caja de plástico que se engancha o encierra al artículo y lleva oculto un radioemisor en miniatura constituido por una bobina de hilos de cobre y varios componentes electrónicos y cuando el protector atraviesa el campo magnético del detector situado a la salida del comercio, la espira produce una corriente eléctrica que alimenta a los componentes electrónicos, y éstos generan una señal de radio que es captada por el receptor que activa la alarma.
Otro de los tipos, sin embargo, consiste en una etiqueta magnética que se pega en los artículos, y su funcionamiento se basa en la detección de la perturbación de un campo magnético. La pegatina incluye una minúscula bobina que produce un campo magnético local cuando entra en los dominios del campo magnético del detector, los dos arcos metálicos situados a la salida del establecimiento. El área magnética es generada por la corriente eléctrica que circula por la bobina. Si la etiqueta no ha sido desactivada por un dependiente, provoca una alteración del campo magnético que dispara la alarma.
Algunas etiquetas antirrobo contienen cápsulas especiales de tinta, que dañarán el artículo en el caso de que intente quitase a la fuerza. Otras, como es el caso del etiquetado de origen, incorporan una etiqueta anti-hurto durante el proceso de fabricación que hace que la implementación de este sistema sea mucho más cómoda.
